Since my workplace (at the time) used Axure as its prototyping tool, I wanted a little speculative side project to work on my Sketch, InVision and Principle skills.

The Problem

 

Track monthly budgets on a spreadsheet file can get a little cumbersome, especially when in a rush or just can't be bothered on a busy day.

The Goal

 

I decided to explore how I could simplify the 'recording' aspect of budget management with a mobile app. Simple Budget is a budgeting app that focuses on being able to enter a new transaction as quickly as possible so that tracking expenses feels seamless.

Animating in Principle

I then animated my Sketch designs using Principle.
